Maker's bio

Lynn's art is a vibrant blend of contemporary landscapes and abstract florals. With her expressive, gestural style, she encapsulates the essence of every scene, mood, and moment. Working in harmony with the seasons, she translates colour and motion into bold, energetic brushstrokes. Rather than relying on photographs, Lynn immerses herself in each location, soaking up its energy and absorbing its defining elements. The result? Paintings that are richly layered and bursting with texture, inviting viewers into a world where viewers can immerse themselves in a different and beautiful world. Experience artistic transformation with "Paint What You Feel," a revolutionary coaching method. Break free from visual replication, unlock inner creativity, and express raw emotion on canvas. Each brushstroke becomes a conduit for self-discovery, offering clarity and resonance in an extraordinary journey of artistic liberation.

Rose Barned reviewed: Abstracting the Landscape in Acrylics - Workshop

"This course I took was an amazing time to stop, look and listen to all that was said about acrylic abstract landscapes. A small and friendly group led by Lynn who promotes your own magical abilities to your signature art. I would highly recommend this course to anybody who wants to start their own journey with the love of acrylic abstract art. Loved my time with Lynn in the silk mills Frome in Somerset. Xxxxx"

"Thanks Rose, as always it was great fun working with you. I love your enthusiasm and sense of humour. You also have great drive to develop your work which is inspiring. I was delighted that you sold not 1 but all of your lovely Dragonfly series-how many was it? 6, 7? That's fantastic. Part of this process is finding confidence to share your work. Something that lots struggle with! Well done! x"

"An inspiring interactive workshop building on our skills with encouragement, advice and new ways of tackling lines, paint and materials. Took me forward another stage from where I’d arrived on Lynn’s 12 week course. Really helpful working with a small group and working with others. Broadens my understanding of landscape too"

Paint What You Feel responded:

"Thank you for your review Vivien. As always, I really enjoy working with you. Your work is inspiring and I'm glad that with a little guidance you are developing some really beautiful pieces, with beautiful passages of paint that are uniquely you. The group was great, everyone put in 110%. I think we were all exhausted by the end of it! I loved it too. Happy painting, Lynn"

Diana reviewed: Abstracting the Landscape in Acrylics - Workshop

"Excellent value for the volume of techniques learned and Lynn encouraged my vision to create something unique. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and learned so much from Lynn who is such a nurturing teacher. Each moment of the day was exciting and I am so pleased that I took this course. I highly recommend this course to anyone - you will not be disappointed!"

Paint What You Feel responded:

"Thank you for your thoughtful review, Diana. I'm really glad you got so much out of the day. It's always my intention to work with everyone's particular experience. I loved seeing your work. I think it's fantastic, it offers a lot for the viewer to contemplate. A sight into your soul. Your more 'whimsical' paintings are lovely too. Both deserve a place in your portfolio. I think we shouldn't be constrained too much by what we think others may think. Your art is most definitely yours, and wonderful to look at! I hope we will work together again! Happy painting, Lynn"

Rachael Demery reviewed: Painting expressively in acrylics for beginners-intermediate.

"Thank you Lynn for a perfect day painting! Lynn was supportive, encouraging and kind and made me feel instantly at home in her beautiful studio. Ideal for anyone who is looking to learn new techniques, gain a new creative perspective or just to grow your confidence to create beautiful pieces of art. Good value and great fun. I can't recommend highly enough!"

Paint What You Feel responded:

"Thanks for posting your review Rachael, I really enjoyed our day, your enthusiasm and willingness to experiment. I hope you find time in your busy days to spend a little time painting to help you tune into yourself always tricky as a mum, and of course painting with George too, your little, budding artist."
