Description

The process of monoprinting dates back to the 1600’s and has been explored by artists as diverse as Rembrandt and Edgar Degas. It combines drawing and painting with printmaking techniques, to create spontaneity within outcomes, and has few, if any rules. During the workshop we will explore single and multi layered drawn mono prints, the direct method, painted and a further experimental technique, enabling you to explore and create a range of printed outcomes, with a particular focus on what inspires you. Liz Wellby will host this workshop at her home studio, The Slipper Studio. The venue is beautifully presented with handcrafted workbenches and a wood burner, with views into the village.
